By the way, if you are going to be in NYC, you can visit all those spots for yourself on the 1-Hour Central Park Pedicab Tour. When you sign up for the tour, please indicate that you want to see Enchanted film locations.

1. Merchant’s Gate Fountain

One of the many famous landmarks you will catch a glimpse of in Enchanted is Merchant’s Gate, located at Columbus Circle, 59th Street, and Central Park West. This is actually one of the entrances to the park.

At the wide plaza, you can see the Beaux Arts columnar monument with its sculpture of Columbia by Attilio Piccirilli and Charles Keck.

2. Dairy

Another recognizable Central Park landmark that shows up in Enchanted is the Dairy, which is located at mid-park between 64th and 65th Street. In the movie, the Dairy is among the locations featured during the musical number “That’s How You Know.”

The distinctive Victorian gothic structure dates all the way back to 1870. As the name suggests, visitors at the time actually could go there and get milk. At the time, dairy products were not all that easy to come by. Today, the Dairy houses a gift shop and a welcome center.

3. Gapstow Bridge

Another location you will see in Enchanted during the song “That’s How You Know” is the picturesque Gapstow Bridge. You will find it at East Side at 62nd

This was not the first bridge at the site; the previous one was made of cast iron. Alas, that bridge did not stand the test of time. The 1896 stone bridge that stands there now has weathered the many decades since its construction admirably.

4. The Mall

Not surprisingly, the same musical number that visits Gapstow Bridge and the Dairy during Enchanted also shows off the Mall. This is the wide pathway from 68th Street to 72nd Street.

5. Boating Lake

Also featured during “That’s How You Know” is a scene with a rowboat date on the Central Park Boating Lake.

While you are visiting Central Park, you can head out on the water of the Boating Lake yourself by renting a row boat.

6. Sheep Meadow

A picnic on Sheep Meadow is featured in Enchanted as well. This beautiful green lawn sprawls 15 acres between 66th Street and 69th Street, providing plenty of room to relax or enjoy a picnic of your own. Even on crowded days, you can find a sunny, open spot.

As the name indicates, there were once sheep on the Sheep Meadow. They used to live in the Sheep Fold building, which today is where you will find the Tavern on the Green restaurant.

6. Reservoir Bridge

There is a scene in Enchanted where Edward leaps over the side of a bridge in an attempt to catch up with Giselle. Alas, his efforts are thwarted when he is struck by cyclists.

The name of this bridge is the Reservoir Bridge, and it is located at West 94th Street. It is also known as Bridge No. 28. Built of cast iron, it features gothic styling and distinctive curves that mark it out as one of the most beautiful bridges in Central Park.

7. Bow Bridge

Another Central Park bridge that is featured in Enchanted is Bow Bridge. You will find this bridge at mid-park at 74th Street. You are definitely going to want to stop and snap a lot of photos here; few other spots in Central Park have been photographed as extensively as this graceful Victorian bridge that takes you from Cherry Hill to the Ramble.

Along with being featured in Enchanted, Bow Bridge has also appeared in the films Keeping the Faith, Manhattan and The Way We Were

8. Bethesda Terrace

The final location featured in the song “That’s How You Know” is Bethesda Terrace, specifically the lower level with its famous fountain. The fountain stands 26 feet tall, and features a sculpture titled Angel of the Waters, which was created in 1868 by Emma Stebbins.

When the statue was dedicated, Stebbins quoted John 5:2-4, which is where the name “Bethesda” comes from: “Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called… Bethesda… whoever then first after the troubling of the waters stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.”

Like Bow Bridge, Bethesda Terrace and Fountain have appeared in a number of other movies and TV shows.

Along with the Central Park locations above, the movie Enchanted features a number of other filming locations in NYC, such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Time Warner Center and Times Square.
